I don't even think most people paypig for that reason.
Personally I do it to support her so that she doesn't need to worry as much constantly about what she's going to do when she stops streaming in a few years or if people just stop watching her. She quit her job for it and is old enough that having a break of 2-3 years with no work experience will ruin her career.
If she quits streaming then she'll probably either go back to a deadend low wage office job or worse start working at a grocery store or something.
She'll never have the opportunity for career advancement because she quit too early.
Streaming is the kind of career where you definitely need to save your money.
$500k pre-tax is loads but if it's 2 years of that followed by 20k every year until you retire at 70+ then it's not really that great.
