I don't like Hololive and how they gave priority to girlfriend simulator over creative content.. If prefer the era of short scripted content, streaming is a bastardized version of Vtubing.
Only a few like Mito managed to make it worthwhile, many Niji are just streamers with some model still.
VTubing was never just some stream with a model, there always was a big part about creating a character, its universe and playing it with your own take on it.
I watched streamers much before raids were a thing when it was just JustinTV and when forsen was the face of it.
