You'll get some engagement every now and then from random people plus other Risuners can spur discussion as well (I'm in /hlgg/ most of the time by default anyways). In addition, more Risuners talking about Risu or her streams creates more acknowledgement of her in the general thread hivemind. A couple of Ioforia started posting Iofi in /hlgg/ recently with decent success.
As a whole discussion of streams generates a sense of legitimacy if that makes sense, so posting about Risu in /hlgg/ is always welcome
