Opening acts tend to be warm ups for the main act, but this mainly applies to tours where a big name is headlining and lesser acts are either brought along or more local talent showcased. V-Carnival on the other hand is an event where different companies showcase their talents and thus a more even distribution is needed. Not to mention it is online which I suspect brings new concerns with keeping the viewership watching advertisements through the whole event as opposed to an IRL festival where people are going to come and go according at their own pace according to their schedule and the billboards are going to stay there regardless and bring less money anyway.
