I use Nvidia broadcast for noise reduction and some of the basic Reaper plugins, been tweaking Noise Gate/EQ/Compressor settings a ton and it just never sounds great. I think my mic is just fine, pretty sure it's user error. I'm not using an interface but I don't think it's necessary at my level. I think I'll get some sound dampening foam to see if it helps at all.
