Just saw the divegrass result. Sadly not surprised. Wish we could've at least bowed out a bit more honorably, but there's no fixing these players. Sorry about that.
With that, my time as the team manager has come to an end. The reason I asked a few threads ago if anyone was interested in getting involved with the tactical side of things is that I will be stepping down. I still love Doki, the thread and the team, that has not and will likely never change, but I've gone from watching every iteration of the league from its inception despite not being into vtubers at the time to being frustrated by the league and by /vt/ as a whole for too many reasons to count. I think the team, more than anything, needs fresh blood, a dragoon who's less jaded than me, who still has a real interest in the VTL and whose interest goes beyond just us - if you think you're that goon, go to the wiki page, mouse over my name and get in touch with me. I'll get you up to speed on everything you need to know. The next league will be quite a bit later in the year, so you'd have plenty of time to adjust. Provided someone steps up and the team survives, I'm not planning on quitting making/porting models any time soon, but if nobody steps up then I do not intend to stay as a caretaker.
Also, /mint/'s manager has asked me if we're still going to make that /sloppies/ offshoot team. Is that something you'd all still be interested in? It would not be eligible for the VTL, but we could run it in side events like last winter's Divegrass Before Christmas invitational. We'd have to go through the whole process of making the roster and models again, but it'd be a lot more laid back than what we need to do for the main team.
>>98371325I had requested for her to play no matter what, but the request was denied. The same goes for DoGief being kept out. According to the VTL rules, you're not allowed to sub in a player whose condition is lower than that of another viable player. Just one of the many organizational aspects that I feel drag the league down in my eyes compared to other divegrass events like the 4cc or the Divegrass Before Christmas invitational.
