Making and labelling layers properly actually takes a long-ass time. I usually lock stuff that isn't supposed to be changed because when I end up seeing the schedule a lot of the clients end up shifting things around which kills the layouter in me. (even if you just move a thing 1 pixel, i WILL notice, but I wont do anything about it)
