I'm trying to break the habit by shitting out the outline of my story and planning to go back later, but it's hard to resist putting at least a bit of effort and thought into the prose/flow of the writing. I also get the feeling I'm not a very good editor, by that I mean shit, so I want to do more on the first draft.
