Two years ago my permit expired so I went the DMV at the exact time it opened to see if I could get it renewed and the 50 something year old black lady attending me decided to upgrade from a permit and just gave me my license, no test required. Granted I still have a B restriction but most cops that have stopped me either don’t care or don’t know what that restriction means.
