Rappers have a saying "fake it till you make it".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nXa4KrqVwIThey will rent an expensive car, gold jewels, expensive women.....etc. Even though it's all fake, the only thing that matters is putting up a front. Pretending to be rich, and that will bring the fans who are obsessed with wealth and status. Then after a while, they start making money for real.
Hololive is the same thing. They buy viewbots. And then say "look at our high numbers, you should watch us". And that brings more fans than they would otherwise have. They create a mystique of popularity. That's what this thread is for, it's part of their business strategy.
