Y***** W**** continues to be my go to for the perfidious Star Thief but at the same time these talents heavily rely on subtle subconscious manipulation that is purposefully broadband to undermine the maximum number of viewers. The “true” woman moments that seep into the streams are these, the unbridled feminine contempt for their own viewers and fanbase. Of course for the chuuba there is a gracefully large disconnect but the performer and fan but at the same time due to the internet based communication deeper levels of revelation can be grasped. I’m this way an ever escalating arms race of catty subtextual insults and misdirectons can be leveraged against one another. Lumi is of course one extreme of this where her mewling acquiescence to the “banter” completely disarms the exchange no matter how it might be structured against her. Her biggest failing could only ever to show herself to be genuinely heated about something. Shiina is the most middle of the road with this having moments of “genuine” contrition towards the remarks aimed at her. I think one of Shiinas most egregious trespasses was being caught up in her normal speaking voice. The damage it wrought to her kayfabe really soured the entire dynamic giving the wrong sense of pandering to her entire act. Structured through her perfectionism and “pipkin” it gives a metacontextual anti thrill to think that her exposed cover grates at her performance and in part leads to the more sensitive mood flips. All together Shiina’s main shtick of trying to present as the perfect unattainable model contrasted with her “cringy” shortcomings makes them even more transparently a projection of an opinion of the presumed shortcomings of a viewer who would be attracted to the unobtainable image she has crafted with her character. I think the girls data mine any input they can as the value of unrestrained feedback in the conceptual structuring of several Phase members broader narrative arcs is important. More so evident then a presence, even second hand, that spoils, or perhaps heightens, the meta cognitive power struggle between performer and viewer is that all of their content is rehearsed, premeditated, and comes from a place of measured execution. Truly the most difficult and likely least rewarding for the performer is crafting moments of pure spontaneity. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lumi’s paced out hate fucking of her content where her technical proficiency and attitude transform her performance into that of an angry stage magician tired of pulling the same tricks.
