>>55732922if there is a conspiracy, who knows. plenty of vtubers say they have a cult following. vtubers sometimes end up getting followers that do stupid things, but rarely in approval of the vtubers themselves. i've seen a few /meat/ vtubers that advocate for things that other vtubers would have found weird, like blood tributes and what not, (gomi even cut a roach into her inner thigh when she found out about /meat/'s existence. i miss the good old days) and comma literally gave suggestions for how to do her experiments safely on her website (when writing the report on the time she put razorblades in her vagina and started doing ringfit exercises, she said it would be smart next time to put them in a balloon to make it easier to take them all out when she was done, for example) so you could imagine fans being inspired to do things like that. beyond that, there really isn't all that much that is dangerous. having a "cult" is so basic that even that one popular canadian deer wannabe has jokes about being the leader of a cult, it's not in any way "a danger to society" so idk what you're really looking for there.
