I'd say a stay in Japan under 6-7 days is barely worth the time....besdies, you're probably paying $900-1200 bucks just to get there and back, kind of a disappointment to be there for a weekend.
I'm taking my time and staying 2 weeks, I'll probably ride a train off into the mountains.
