What I've tried to do is make a mental list of deficiencies and of skills and knowledge that I should have yet lack, and slowly work at filling most of those gaps passively through constant low-intensity and uncritical exposure while dedicating the bulk of my focus and attention to one particular area of growth. Thanks to that approach, I've increased tremendously over the last few years - not like that's much of a boast or even meant as one, I'm still nowhere near where I honestly should be. But you know, baby steps
