Japan is akin to a theme park and the Japanese language is quickly and rapidly becoming akin to if, say, Disneyland, came out with its own special auxiliary language called Disneyland-ese. You can get by perfectly fine over there not knowing a single Japanese word, but you can't ride the special rides or get rare Kyber Crystals or know how much shit the miserable theme park employees (the Japanese people) are talking about you without knowing their special language.
