>>47224363Off the top of my head? For an RPG? Ok, setting is a more-grounded world based off their Minecraft bastion with a bit more respect paid to their lore. More-seriously portray how their duties actually weigh on them: The ones I'd be most keen to write here would be our own beloved Moom since, as the guardian of civilization, 99.9% of what she'd have seen is wasted potential, cruelty, and absolute fucking retardation. (History 101: People are shit.) And also IRyS as a theologically-accurate Nephilim viewing a test of hope as a test of faith since an existence literally deemed unclean by birth into a world that hates them (think Frankenstein's monster) has little reason to be hopeful about much of anything. (Internal conflict.)
In response to an unknown summons, a MacGuffin is introduced from another universe with reality-bending powers which CouncilRyS, upon learning of its existence, initially bands together to seek out in the twisting nether to remake the actually-pretty-fucked-up world in a better form. However, as they journey together, they come to realize they each have very different ideas on what the ideal world should look like. Their inability to reconcile these leads to the re-opening of old wounds and the beginnings of factionalism. (Intrapersonal conflict.)
The crossing over of said MacGuffin, however, also drags an ancient evil another with it
Rushia, I guess? idk; coming up with this on the fly which is bound to the MacGuffin by necessary universal relations. Lodged in our universe, but unable to free itself completely, AE-chan swiftly rallies its own guardians to also obtain the MacGuffin and completely free itself, that it might impose its own will own this plane of existence. AE-chan shall try to kill/capture/tempt/bribe/bully/seduce our girls on their adventure.(External conflict)
There's a general skeleton you could build something interesting around which isn't plagiarized from Persona. And just to pre-empt the EDGE card, you have to establish conflict in a story. Not optional. (It's the fulcrum, as Mori would say after last night's mindfuck.) There's still plenty of room for lightheartedness and references in there. Everyone's happy. Maybe Moom could even realize she needs to feed us more at the end; who knows? But yeah, still more interesting than this fan thing from a narrative perspective.
Seriously, I don't mean to be toxic towards the devs and I do apologize for any treaded toes, but I'm also not going to hold back legitimate criticism since that's how things improve.
