I think the problem was that half of Matsuri's fanbase loves APEX just as much as she does, or at least couldn't bring themselves to voice their opinions, whereas the other half started to hate it with a passion. She used to make polls about what she should play and APEX kept winning every time, although part of it is that she made polls with multiple options or with the option "play what you want" which would be code for APEX, but people would obviously choose it to feel good against their better judgement. Meanwhile the APEXfags would just vote for APEX and everyone else's votes would get split between the other options. There was also a point where she streamed something other than APEX half the time, but got significantly better numbers at APEX all the while people on Twitter kept complaining about how they would watch her if only she streamed something other than APEX.
In fact, more than APEX itself, the issue might have been that she, understandably, got angry at that, and, unprofessionally, started arguing with fans on Twitter which I'd wager is one of the bigger things that led to menheraposting.
But speaking of menhera, did Matsuri show up at Suisei's house after the "all my songs are cancelled" stream? Or was there a similar incident at some other point? Because I could swear I read about it, but can't find it now, and I'm starting to think I've dreamed it up. I do have fairly realistic dreams every now and then about browsing 4chan or Warosu, and I suspect I've accidentally schizoposted before because of them. I'm not even sure if the original source would have been a zatsudan or Twitter and if so, whose. But this would have been both cute and cool thing to happen, so I hope it did happen, and I need to do my sleep reps soon.
