You need to stand out, and while there's merit in trying to stand out by being the one non-clown in the circus, people will quickly forget you if you have nothing special about you.
Oh, and there's also a lot of VTubers whose models are just a dude wearing a hoodie with their same glasses and ugly beard that they have in real life.
