Personally, I like seeing western vtubing break loose of whatever confines it was born with and embrace a freewheeling approach to content creation. Whether it is dokibird laughing every other sentence while headshotting someone on Apex, Lime alternating between great wholesomeness and suddenly talking about rimjobs, or Filian cartwheeling around making George Floyd jokes, these indies embody the future I want to see in vtubing. As long as we don't delve into complete reactslop, or if it is contained, I think I can look at the current trajectory and say "I like this."
