Alright you kolhii-heads, here's the Roodaka cosplay fic. I can’t believe I wrote this.
>You sneeze for the 100th time in the last hour as you set down another dust covered box
>You and Kronii were clearing out an old storage closet as part of spring cleaning
>It’s a chore to sort through the books, christmas lights, broken electronics, old clothes, and whatever other junk was there
>But Kronii had insisted you do it now, her need for cleanliness and organization getting the better of her
>You figure you might as well do it now than save it for later otherwise you’d put it off indefinitely
>You’re just about to pick up another box when you hear Kronii gasp
>You turn around to find her leaning over an opened box
>”Check it out!” She scrummages through the box for a minute she before produces a set of DVDs
>It takes a second for you to recognize the old relics from your childhood
>It’s all four of the Bionicle movies
>You thought you’d lost them years ago, never to find them again
>Yet here they were, probably put there for storage once and forgotten until now
>Kronii can hardly contain her excitement, ”I used to watch these all the time when I was little!”
>She hugs them protectively against her chest
>”Anon you didn’t tell me you had these!”
>You’re just as surprised and happy as she is, ”I thought I lost them a while ago. More importantly, you liked Bionicle?”
>Kronii giggles, “Liked it? Anon, you’re probably talking to the biggest Bionicle nerd ever.”
>You scoff, “That’s only because you hadn’t met me before.”
>You loved Bionicle from the Toa Mata to Bionicle Stars
>You had at one point owned nearly every set
>You read all the comics, played all the flash games, hell, you even collected all the McDonalds toys
>Obsession wouldn’t even begin to describe how much you loved the franchise
>”Well, we HAVE to watch these.” Kronii says, dragging you by the hand
>”But what about the storage closet?”
>”We can do that tomorrow. This takes priority.”
>Well, if she wanted to
>You make some microwave popcorn while Kronii pops in the The Mask of Light DVD
>The smell of fresh popcorn and butter fills the room as you sit down next to Kronii on the couch
>You set down the bowl of buttery goodness as Kronii snuggles up next to you under her weighted blanket
>A warm wave of nostalgia hits you as the intro plays
>You smile as Kronii recites the monologue by heart
>You both cringe at the corny dialogue and are reminded how annoying Takua and Jala are
>You joke with each other throughout the entire movie, laughing at the weird six packs the matoran have and how off model the characters are
>You both gush about how Kopaka was your favorite as he solos three rakshi, freezing them in a pond while reciting of his one-liners
>You couldn’t help but feel Kronii was trying to emulate some of his coolness with her personality
>It’s so much fun you can barely pay attention to the movie as you both recount your memories of building and playing with the sets
>Soon enough Takanuva defeats Makuta with one last kolhii pass, merging with him and opening the way to awaken the great spirit
>Kronii nudges you as the credits roll, not wanting to leave her blanket nest
>You sigh, ”Fine, I’ll put the next one in.”
>You eject Mask of Light and pop in Legends of Metru Nui
>You sit back down and laugh as Kronii recites the opening monologue by heart again
>You both root for Lhikan as he flees the dark hunters, recalling how badass his set was with his twin swords and rahi mount
>You can still remember how psyched you were when you got him for Christmas years ago
>Kronii confesses how she learned the matoran alphabet after watching the movie for the first time
>She jabs you in the ribs when you call her a nerd
>You blush slightly as Nokama is introduced, remembering how you crushed hard on her in your youth
>Pathetic, yes, but you were young and impressionable
>The movie continues as the toa manage to rescue the matoran and flee Metru Nui
>Kronii frowns as Lhikan sacrifices himself to save Vakama, telling you how she had stopped the movie the first time she saw it and refused to watch the rest
>But soon enough Makuta is defeated and the toa give up their powers to awaken the matoran, turning into turaga
>The movie done, you get up to change disks again at Kronii’s behest
>Time for Web of Shadows
>It was always your favorite, though you could never pinpoint why
>You remember buying and assembling the viserak spider sets after the premier
