Whats up Nerissa and everyone, I hope everyone has been eating well. Someone said you were eating mac and cheese nerissa? Are you cereal? No more mac and cheese its not good dude. You need some good food in you. Ive been thinking about food lately because last week I found out Ive been living with a torn labrum in my hip for a few years now. I thought it was residual pain from when I broke my back, but nope, torn labrum (welcome to surfing, common surfer injury).
>dry fasting
Anyway when I found out I immediately started physical therapy and I remembered the russian doctor that developed dry fasting as a therapy said it cured herniated disks. So I figure herniated disk and torn labrum is close enough, so I thought well shoot I guess I have to do a 7 day dry fast now and its Lent anyway. So I did from Sunday to Sunday. No food or water again.
>now
After thr 7 day its recommended you water fast for 3 days, then slowly reintroduce gentle foods over the course of the next two weeks. Its only monday, I got some water in me now but im starvin marvin bros. I haven't eaten in forever.
>tea party
I think i'm still kinda loopy but I've been thinking about tea parties cuz food. So i'm going to give the basic gestalt on tea party foods so everyone can throw the chillest party ever.
>tea party 2
Okay so a tea party is a light casual affair. Its meant to be a light engagement. So light finger foods is what we eat. Its okay to eat certain foods with your fingers dont be pressured to eat with a knife and fork. Naturally we start with tea, pick your favorite. At least one but 2 or 3 is good for variety and theres always someone whos picky.
>tea party food
Sandwiches is the name of the game. Pick your favorite sandwiches and cut them into "fingers", squares, or circles that way they are the perfect size to grab and eat. Cucumber sandwich is a classic, you can go open face mini bagels with cream cheese and lox, egg salad sandwich, tuna salad sandwich, my second favorite turkey and cheddar on a croissant. Pick your favorite just make sure its cut small into about 3 to 4 pieces whichever you prefer. And always crust off.
>tea party pastries
You can go the traditional scones. (Make sure you have clotted cream and berry preserves to smear on it) Generally also something bready but you can go cookies if you want. Generally any small pastry, cookie, tartlet, etc will do.
>dessert
The finisher is generally a slice of a cake. But you can also go literally any dessert. The most important thing for all the foods is that its small and its okay to eat it with your hands. Except the cake obviously.
>drinks
Tea obviously, but you should also have water and a little bit of alcohol if you want like a Mimosa or bellini something light and casual.
>dinner party
Tea parties are not events theyre casual chill and mellow, but if you want to make it an event make it a "dinner party tea party" in which case you'll have to make actual courses of food, this is less casual but still casual enough that you don't have to stress about it. This is the type women like because you can dress up in nice flowy dresses and take photos and share online
>health
Anyway I hope you're all doing well. Nerissa eat well, and talk to kiara about tea parties she likes them too.
