>>802866Well, if that's the issue, I obviously can't convince you to feel different or anything. But I can at least tell you my take on the situation.
We're nearly six months into this whole shebang, right? HoloEN and the thread in general. The first six months were filled with tumultuous shit left and right, both at home in the threads and abroad in Hololive itself. For a quick reminder:
>Aloe Incident>HoloEN isn't a myth>Thread Split>Taiwan arc>Cover leaving China forever>Miko and Mio returning>Gen 5 stabilizing from the aftereffects>Big event streams left and right>The girls being at their most dynamic as they tried to find a long-term rhythm, resulting in lots of experimentalist stuff>Thread fanbases trying to form their identities out of whole cloth and establishing unity as a concept>Dozens of brand new rrats, and the rrat culling arc>Meido Civil War>Holofes 2>Gen 5 3D reveals>/vt/ being born>Nene's new outfit>BloomAnd that's still cutting out a lot of fat. It's probably the most eventful time in Hololive history, thread-wise and company-wise.
But right now, we're in a genuine peace period. No "happenings," no spontaneous events coming around, nothing to look for on the horizon for a long time. All of the girls are here, and they've all found their identity and stable rhythm to streaming and creating content. There's no big yab to stress about. We've got our "thread identity" pretty much settled and understood at this point for each girl's following, and the thread as a whole. We don't have any rrats that are even a little plausible anymore. Have you noticed the anons that usually push narratives are latching onto even more absolutely baseless narratives than usual and obsessing over them? Even dredging up the most insignificant shit from three sites down to try and force people to accept even the tiniest nibble of a narrative? It's because they don't have anything left to bite, at all.
Take it as a good thing, honestly. You can see it on the more bitter side, of threads being a bit stale compared to the usual because everyone is settled down and comfortable. But I see it on the sweet side, that this means none of our girls are suffering, there's no room for a narrative to spring up, and we've all gotten used to the flow of things.
Were older threads filled with OC and interesting stuff? Of course. But you know why? Two reasons. One, because everything was new and fresh and we could go wild experimenting. Like a new muse to tune our strings to. Two, because the next few months of conflict kept the spirit high and raised. We were in unusual circumstances, and they inspired unusual effort.
This is a world without conflict, for now. Enjoy it before the next thing happens that throws people off and gets their passions raging again. At the end of the day, it's better for the thread to be quiet and the girls to be happy, than for the threads to be at their peak while the girls stumble and lose their comfortable rhythm.
