I came to /vt/ because I wanted to discuss a couple of small vtubers that aren't talked about anywhere else in English. Enduring the downsides of this place wasn't easy at first, but became easier once got used to only staying in two threads and occasionally venturing out to /horni/, or if something big is happening.
One of those big things was the male collab drama. It wasn't a topic that ever came up with the ones that I watch, since they only collab with each other. I didn't really have a horse in this race, but I see that most anons do. Many were initially attracted to a different style of vtubing than that of VShojo or Nijisanji. And I can't say it's not appealing, since I got into vtubers in the first place because of Hololive, but I did eventually veer towards indies.
But I guess if you make a company decision and suddenly change course to one drastically different from what you and your talents nurtured for years, you will have a lot of pushback, and that would look bad. So you double down and delete posts and threads by the hundreds, and bring in posters from somewhere else to defend your decision and trashtalk everyone who doesn't, and many who aren't even talking about that topic. Over the last week, I've been called an "incel", "chud", "unicorn"(what insulting meaning does that animal even have?), and many other insults numerous times, and been told to kill myself thrice. All of that, despite never partaking in the male collab discussion, and just staying in threads relevant to vtubers that I watch. At least when there were threads to stay in, because the sudden spike in activity made many of them fall of the board prematurely.
So three days ago I finally asked what the hell is going on.
And I have just finished serving a three day ban for doing exactly that.
THREE FUCKING DAYS for questioning why so many out of place posters suddenly came here to shit things up. While literal fucking doxxers get only ONE. Three times longer! THREE! And I'll probably get another one for this thread, but it doesn't matter because I already moved on to discussing them in Japanese and this is my last post here. Even if I have to use yomichan every two or three sentences, it's still a lot better. And I guess it should also help me learn kanji faster.
FUCK your company, and FUCK your company enforced imageboard. YOUR explicit actions turned me from someone who didn't really care about Cover and anyone from it, into an anti.
