The real reason she's unpopular is twofold: first is her model is ass, second is that her game choices are dogshit.
It's easy to see just how much a model affects your start with how many subs you get in the start dash compared to everyone else, since at that time viewers know nothing about you. Riona was 2nd lowest or lowest already.
Holoneet for example can't stop talking about how much her model is ass or joking about how Sakamata should just lend her her model now that she's graduating.
I honestly don't get how the model turned out that way with considering Shirabi is a great artist and his concept art for Riona looks good.
Game choice is self explanatory.
Nobody in the whole world wants to fucking watch Mario+Luigi RPG or fucking Ib.
These 2500 dudes watching are for sure watching just because of Riona, not because of the game.
