Even if they didn't collab with the other members that often, there would still be the ever present vague sense of community when they were part of a group, and how and where you discuss them also changes after they leave. I've only experienced it with Nyan and Vei. But discussing them in /vsj+/ when they were still part of VShojo was an entirely different vibe than discussing them anywhere else. I still watch Nyan and Vei sometimes, but it will always feel a little different.
