I could see Layna getting somewhere if she does it right though, she does have enough of a nurturing side to give Filian the feeling of affection and security that she'd need. The only other issue I can see is that I would question how attracted Filian actually is towards Women. What if breaking down her walls around her sexuality makes her realize that she likes men just as much if not more? She did have a really cute reaction to seeing Layna's irl face the first time though:
