We've been getting nothing but really tame, bog-standard choreo from about 80% of fes performances. Obviously the outliers are shit like the Koro Flip(tm).
I would absolutely agree that this shit did not settle well with the surrounding performances, outside of the gap humor, but that's got way more to do with the staff setting up the event. They know what the talents are going to be doing months out.
What this WILL do, is encourage more holos to try and push themselves in what kind of choreo they can submit to management. It will give them ideas, and they'll have room to point to this as an exception.
The idol step is just fine for Ina and Luna, but I want to fucking see what some of the other talents are actually capable of coming up with and performing, for a change. So keep the idol step, keep the shit that has been making Holo bank all these years, but TRY some new shit.
Imagine someone like Lui trying Bae's floor routine from last year.
