>>15504044NijiEN males were basically a gamble. Nobody really knew how it'd pan out in the west even with ID/KR/JP talent, and nobody really paid much attention to male vtubers compared to female ones here to begin with. Still, they were the first popular ones to hit the market
sorry tsunderia, they tapped into both the fujo and the bro market, and hit gold. It helped that the company had a reputation of being a company that had plenty of male/female collabs to begin with, along with being open about male collabs with female talents for months and being open and upfront about their male auditions.
If Cover were to do Holostars EN, I cant view it being anything but DOA. Nobody really goes to Cover for male talents to start with, they never put any effort into making a Holostars EN to begin with while they had the market advantage, and male/female collabs barely if ever happen due to not wanting to piss off gachikoi of their female talents, or the female talents just dont want to collab at all to begin with. It'd be a lot of stress for any potential future talents with zero advantage of being part of Cover, since you're not under the same label like with Nijisanji. You wouldn't be part of Hololive, you'd be awkwardly pushed to the side as Holostars.
