She said she was quitting because she didn't enjoy working at cover anymore.
She said working there made it difficult for her to smile.
I believe she convinced cover that their style of working (overly cautious but still making stupid mistakes) would not suit her. I believe it is more to do with cover's incompetence rather than maliciousness.
The timeline makes it make a lot more sense.
June - asacoco 1.0 comes to an end, asacoco contents needs to be reviewed more.
End of July - holocaust. No more random kusoge for her. Need permissions.
Content-wise it still wasn't too bad, her 3D was a massive hit and she started doing meme reviews.
But her primary source of creative input, her main draw - asacoco, it was suffering. She said multiple times about how content was drying up.
But then post taiwan it just got ridiculous.
Chinks claim it was because she didn't apologize, but they were wheelbarrowing her stream even before the stream started. Other holos were getting wheelbarrowed too.
So almost the only collabs she had were a weekly meme review, and maybe ark or something like that once a month.
They straight up told her to stop asacoco once CN was dissolved.
And according to her she kept working on multiple proposals for new shows which she was excited to show, but nothing came of it. She revealed in her mengen that every single thing she proposed was rejected, even completely harmless and simple stuff.
Even Kanata's holo otaku show got canned for no reason (it seems it was mandatory to get all content approved by 3 managers, which is stupid when the managers themselves were understaffed).
The yagoo interview later on touched on how she had a lot of input and wanted to try a lot of different things.
For her 1M stream she actually expected the chinks to stop spamming her, and spent 45 minutes trying to reason with them.
In Feb the chinks went after her fans. She says the manager made a mistake and asked for forgiveness, but this was the first time she was actually really bothered. She broke down crying on stream later that month.
Multiple holos have confirmed that in March she asked to leave hololive.
Marine arranged an among us collab for her (her first non-reddit collab in a very long time). Korone cried on stream, later confirming it was because of Coco's decision to leave.
March, April, May - They took 3 months to try to convince her to stay.
If cover wanted her gone, she would have quit within a few weeks.
Every hololive member (except suisei) said that after talking to her they themselves were convinced that she was doing the right thing. Suisei admitted that telling her to stay would be selfish because it would only make her happy and not Coco.
Finally in July, it looks like cover agreed to her.
I also think they did their bit to support her for the last month. The birthday asacoco live and the graduation stream were pretty good. Even small things like helping watame with her surprise etc.
Most importantly, after quitting she has even legally gone after someone putting up articles/edited clips of her to demean cover. She definitely disagreed with their way for working and some of their decisions. But she still seems to have some respect for them.
