Speaking of Niji merch, the other day I was in Shanghai for a trip and they have a huge weeb mall in the middle of the popular shopping street. There were many small anime character merch stores in it and every second shop in it had official Niji merchandise, even more NijiEN than JP. But mostly only the men were displayed in large advertisements, as expected.
I even ran into one chinese nijisister looking around in the niji corner and calling her friend on the phone and mentioning vox, luca and ike by name, didn't understand the rest of what she said though.
The merch was not cheap either, there were acrylic stands and keychains for 100 chinabucks which is like 14 freedom dollars, probably not cheap for them.
Niji and NijiEN was present in almost every corner, but I only saw one half empty box of holo merch in one shop, the gacha fat fuck round mini plushies.
No wonder Anycolor is making so much revenue, they just sell a shitton of stuff.
