>Why?There's many Vidol groups from big and small corpo alike ex. square enix's GEMS, Sony's Versen, ENOGU, Pallete Project, Morinasu, Kamitsubaki's VALIS, etc.
I guess they tryana create something like WAGU (Wake Up! Girl!) where they formed an idol group based on an anime but, with a Vtuber thrown into it. It could work if they handle it carefully and it's not hard to reach moderate success. But, i doubt they'll ever reach hololive's or WAGU's or even 24/7's popularity.
