The vocals can be an acquired but if we're talking about >numbers I think the song will do well because of that.
Bokura no Ashiato had issues like the title being in japanese, the MV being very basic, the song not being that popular anymore. Sadly, normies are attracted to shiny new things (this is also reflected on Kiara's game selection. Play something new and she will get good views regardless of quality of the game)
Like someone else said before, too bad for Bokura no Ashiato because she showcases more of her wonderful voice range in that song.
