You know what I don't understand the most about artfags being anti AI art? Is why the fuck they are against reducing the amount of effort it takes. It's crazy to me because isn't literally the whole point of art that you are trying to communicate an idea to the audience? That the idea of teh art and bringing your vision to life is what matters the most? Shouldn't AI art be lauded as the perfect solution to doing this without needless effort? Surely they don't actually like the painful boring process itself of making the art and in the end only roughly creating their vision in their flawed human way?
The only way the seethe makes sense to me is if I think that all these artists don't actually understand the point of art and that it's meant to be a thing you selfless create and give to an audience, that communicating the core idea/meaning is paramount than anything else, that it's not about your ego. To seethe at a technology that makes it faster and more effortless to communicate your visual ideas must mean you are actually selfish and value the fact that YOU created the art, that it has YOUR identity in it and that it's actually about YOU being praised for 'muh talent' and 'muh hardwork;' what the art actually is doesn't matter. That's the only way the hysterical visceral reaction from artfags makes sense to me.
