>>11723799What direction do you guys really want this game to take?
I think you would need to look at what counts as "winning" in nasfaq for that, if you treat winning as climbing the leaderboard then the current strat is, as you said, to hold meta coins
but why is this the meta? Well, they pay high dividends and we are currently living in a dividend centric market.
So how do you fix this? Well, the devs are (were?) thinking (trying?) to implement a new div system based on total amount of shares in the market, since everyone has a lot of Peko/Calli/Whatever their dividends would be heavily nerfed and shitcoins would become a very good investment, the problem with this (I think) it's that it doesn't fix the main issue, everyone would switch to holding shitcoins, perhaps Mel/Aki/others would become the new meta, the same thing as before would happen again, it would just have a delay until those coins become the most bought, the only change this brings is that we enter a metacoin timeloop, in which, after buying the shitcoin to infinity the old metacoins return to being good, then you switch again, and again, and again, going in an infinite loop.
Well, since changing divs doesn't fix the problem, what should >we do? As stated earlier, since we are taking winning in this game as climbing, and you do that by making money, the real problem is that dividends are the most efficient way to get money, as stated by
>>11706459 and
>>11707980 you need to move hell and earth to day-trade only to get very small profits, and if you want to make the process quicker with multi coin your profits only go down, meanwhile just holding is far simpler and gives almost the same amount of returns, it takes no effort to play divs, and it gives huge returns, why would people not do it?
So what do you get from all this? Unless a way to earn more money (or at least have noticeable returns in terms of profit/effort compared to divs) is discovered/implemented, holding meta coins for their divs will forever be the play.
Sadly, I don't know any way to make that a possibility, you would probably need to look into reducing taxes for multicoining or messing with the buy/sell cooldown, but as of right now, unless a mega moon happens, selling 144 coins will never as worth it or easy as just holding them until divs, I mean, look at the Towa post, only 600k profit when the coin shot up by 30%, how many coins shot up 30% every adjustment?
That is, of course, if you believe that dividend playstyle is wrong or needs to be changed, you could argue that this is just what works the best since high chuubas have high dividends and that makes sense
