Speaking of “Anycolor failing to killing Khyo and FalseEyeD”, Kadokawa and Crunchyroll eventually killed the whole “anime clip” scene in the west, didn’t they?
They’re were two particular ones
>KHORNIMEhttps://youtube.com/@KHORnimeAnd BlueTi
https://youtube.com/@BlueTiThey (and many other of this type of channels) used to have very interesting clip collections, never disclosing too much of the shows and I guarantee people picked up animes (and even subscriptions to go legal) based on those clips, in a very similar way to how people fall in the Holo rabbit hole.
Kadokawa in particular, they cracked down hard on those channels more or less at the same time when they also created a little side project of theirs: Bookwalker, which hired two of the “reference channels” and some tagalonger for their little “outreach project”
>trash tasteWhere does this connect to vtubers? I believe that cracking down on the anime clips scene threw a lot of people into the “vtuber clip” scene, unweaned them from anime (because only the most mainstream ones for any attention) and throwing them head first on Hololive (in particular) and vtubers (in general).
Do you guys know any of those anime clip channels that survived?
