>>11845527And furthermore, speaking of the whole pewdiepie tangent:
Pippa, you say that your content is the same as male streamers but, lets be honest, it kind of isn't, and that's okay. In reality, you're kind of trying to have your cake and eat.
To preface, there are obviously different types of male streamers, but we all know the type you're referring to (you also gave examples), so we'll use that as a metric. Now then...
You don't have the aesthetic of a male streamer. Now, of course aesthetic isn't everything, but it is significant. From yourour stream titles, assets, layout. Your way of speaking, half your interests, the way you interact during collabs. Pretty much everything about your aesthetic. Of course some (or hell, perhaps even most) of it is supposed to be ironic, but it loses that effect due to the lack of reinforcement to the contrary (for example, a deep voice or beard a male streamer would have).
Now why is aesthetic so significant, even to the point of eclipsing the actual content? Think of it like this: imagine you walked into a male locker room whilst the conversation was about wrestling, tits, ass or whathaveyou, then you effortlessly continuing the discussion because you are just as well versed in it as them. Do you think the room's occupants will go "Oh, she knows about this? Cool, let's keep talking." and think nothing of it? Of course not; the conversation might keep going, but it will take on a completely different tone due to your presence, for obvious reasons. None of this is to even go into your contractual obligations regarding male collabs, discussions of significant others, or the fact that you're part of an all female Vtuber group.
So you see, it's not that we the viewers (or even twatterites) have a double standard about what you can say without receiving weird looks. We are not new age feminist trannies with warped norms or expectations. On the contrary, YOU are the one with a double standard about how we should react to you just because you have just one part (out of several) of the equation down.
