That being said, there’s an SP focused mod about doing a questline for extraction, and the devs want to implement a possible endgame relating to their plans for NPCs. They want dynamic npcs of various dispositions frkm traders, to other lonewolf survivors, survivor groups and potential allies and enemy loners and bandit/raider like factions, with dynamic quests and AI driven scenarios. Meta event gunshots won’t be purely scripted audio events but actual NPCs fighting in the wild. This ties into their original alpha release which was a narrative driven experience where you play the husband in a couple trying his best to keep his bitten wife alive, and a man armed with a shotgun eventually tries to rob you. Said couple appears in the main menu. I hope they manage it because it’d make for a very compelling sandbox with a main plot hook which are always the best: look at something like The Forest or Sons for a good example.
For our server I want to do events when I get more free time and an eventual server reset with different rule systems and some server events scripted as an expansion mod at some point. I also want to commission some NijiEN related mods at some point, mainly asset wise while I do the lua scripting for the mods backends.
