Parents feeding on their young, matriarchs beheading or eating their mates, angler fish males fusing into females turning into gonads, and many other things including structuring of sexual organs like barbed or corkscrew penises. We do have the longest childbirth processes on average and the worst attrition rate to childbirth compared to other animals though.
