>>69233907i'll be honest, at the beginning it felt like one of those scam mobile games and i was mostly in it for "what the heck why not, it's a /pyon/ event kind of thing" but a lot of it has grown on me a bit. there's a lot to criticize and it is VERY much aimed towards kids but it's got many charm points.
what hexa said about how the game should try to go for marketing the nostalgia appeal kind of struck me in surprising way. i did get into old school runescape due personal nostalgia but i didn't think that i'd get indresded in a nostalgia game that's not *my* nostalgia as W101 is.
that's kind of an interesting thought in itself; something nostalgic but not personal. kind of touches on what kitsch in aesthetics is, methinks
don't think i'm gonna keep grinding W101 forever but it's been surprisingly fun so far
and chill enough to play runescape on the side, i WILL get 99 mining soon...
