Hololive specifically is a shared activity and pretty wholesome, and the entire space is united under a common cause, which forms a community.
There's a toxic version of this, where people just attach themselves to hobbies that they have no interest in just to find people to talk to and affirm each other - beggars, genshin, blue archive etc etc. Always the types to try and change their community surroundings to fit themselves more, because they don't care about the core hobby, just having some like-minded people to talk with. Discords allow you to weed out people you disagree with until you're left with an echo chamber.
But Hololive specifically helps you aspire to something more. Working out at the gym, trying to improve yourself, trying to find jobs so that you splurge on your oshi's merch, trying to find someone like your oshi irl etc. etc.
It eventually leads to situations like attending cons, meeting other fans, and eventually finding a gf, ending with you watching Holos together with your wife and kids, and your kid growing up with a somewhat decent moral system due to the wholesome nature of Hololive.
Essentially Hololive is Abe's endgame.
