I ask because I had bad battery problems for a long while with my previous car. I think it wasn't getting the recharging it needed because one day in the middle of town my car decided it didn't want to stay on for longer than a couple of minutes. After the second boost from kind samaritans I pulled away in a parking lot to let it die and when I checked under the hood I noticed a belt was missing. No fucking wonder.
