I’m a lone dev taking part in GameJam2, and I’m working on an idea themed around buying stocks. It’s just going to be a simple minigame for /here/ ( Just like the anual one ). The things to have stock values could be things like LuckyTheDuckie, Evil,Neuro,Vedal, Cat-Mode, Collabs, DevStreams, and maybe more as I come up with them. ( Maybe even adding ships for lulz)
I could use some help brainstorming. I’m thinking about making a bot that scans these threads using sentiment analysis, kind of like what Michael Reeves did in his goldfish video. The bot’s results would then influence the stock values in some way.
Do you think it should focus on “Rate the stream” posts, since those happen a lot here? Or maybe it could track how often certain words are mentioned. What do you think, Swarm?
