>>92031774For point of reference on this, Tier 0 competitive YGO decks have historically been in the $500~750 range. As in, heavily-optimized decks that would get you good placementsin competitive tournaments for months on end in an established game. I'm not as in tune with MTG's deck costs, but it is my understanding that the price tags can be comparable depending on format and metagame.
Asking that level of buy-in just to START PLAYING THE GAME, which might not even properly exist in 6 months and will likely never have any real gameplay support, is so absurd that they may as well have not bothered. I get that for most people the cards will just be a way to have their oshi's merch, but that means it's even WORSE since the probability we've been calculating thus far is going on the assumption you get ANY 2 Leader cards. If you want two SPECIFIC leader cards, or even if you're just after a single SSR signed leader card of your oshi, you're fucked beyond belief.
