>>69349261I’m glad you like it! Hot crazy girls do seem to be popular both in and out of V&U…
I made her non-lethal since I feel her actually killing people who might as well be unarmed would be crossing a line and making her a full-blown villain (despite what the beginning paragraphs allude to) and I think it helps showcase how combat magic can be used besides making big numbers pop out. That said she probably could win non-lethally just with her parasol rapier since its built-in fire mechanism should cauterize any wounds she make
For the magic categories I kinda just make them up as I go but the colors do match their general types! I also try to use the association to show how /vnug/ culture sees some of those elements
>orangered: fire, comfort>dodgerblue: water, cold (due to how /vnug/ passive cooling works)The ice spell line used to be in aqua instead but reading the rentry on other devices made me realize it’s too close to the next category so I changed it to the water spell to simplify things
>turquoise: forceI didn’t elaborate in the writing but it works by amplifying existing movement, so the small nudge from her pull or the electromagnetic force in the next one became strong enough to be useful in combat. It’s also combined with force above to show how they can be used together! She also used it to accelerate herself near the ending. I probably would’ve chosen something more purple-y for it but I read turquoise was used to make risuners glide back in the days so I figured it would be a nice touch
>goldenrod: lightning and electricity>>69371113I haven’t thought about it… I guess gold and silver makes sense even if it’s somewhat boring. Magic gemstones and crystals would be valuable and useful but I heard their value doesn’t scale well with their weight/size
