We need to bring 80's anime back. There's a difference between a catgirl and a girl who is a cat-like aura. Having a cat-like aura as a girl means that you're like mysterious and aloof and competent and graceful, and being a catgirl means you're a slut. Every animal descriptive modifier has been boiled down by the transfem community to mean "sexually agreeable". And I just think that's very reductive. And I'm offended.
