>>31450732Buddhism and Taoism were introduced to Japan through the influence of traders and immigrants. Temples and churches for the various foreign-origin deities are constructed differently from Shinto shrines though the aesthetics are often still influenced by Japanese sensibilities, and I think this is how you should handle it in-universe too. The core principles of the faith should remain intact, but beliefs and rituals should be influenced by local interpretation. Even within my own kingdoms I plan to have various branches of the faith to reflect the different posting habits of various anons, so it goes without saying that worship on the other side of the continent should also differ. On a meta level, the attitudes of primarily JP watchers towards the boys from other branches does tend to be influenced by JP chuuba culture, obviously. Speaking for EN since obviously they're who I'm most familiar with, many JP posters regarded EN posters with hostility when they first started appearing in the nijimales thread, as the EN boys and the fan culture they brought with them was regarded as vulgar. In-universe, I imagine that, for example, the Shogunate's Kindred would have much more conservative views on sex as compared to the Holy Kingdom's Kindred. On the other hand, for those chuubas who have cultivated fanbases with sensibilities similar to JP chuuba culture, such as Shu, the religions would likely see little differentiation.
