When she was a little kid, her mom, as standard for japanese, refused to take her to a head doctor when it was suggested she may have issues. She was being charged a rent too large from her mom, but recently managed to negotiate the price down. She would like to move out, but hasn't got the enough money to do so.
Some say even if she had the money, her job insecurities would prevent her from having a place rented to her anyway.
Just a tragic case.
