It has been said already but it bears repeating. Companies are soulless entities with no friends and no feelings, and they only exist for the sake of profit. It's true that there are those companies small enough where the guy in charge still has to look at their employee in the eye as they fuck them over, but that does not change the nature of the company, they can and will act like the soulless behemoths once they grow big enough that their employees become statistics. It's the same Mom&Pop-shop-into-multinational-company process that you see in every industry. Pic unrelated.
