Reminder that old Shadow was just a socially awkward depressed girl, I don't think she outright faked her mental illnesses but she was always waaaay more stable than she portrayed herself as. Shondo essentially used the hiatus as an excuse to break character and go back to being Shadow. She still holds back on interacting with her male friends though, probably because it wouldn't be smart to outright spit in the face of her gachikoi oilers.
