>>80444298The galaxy is big, absurdly big. You're only noticeable when you really start to make noise and radio signals have only started leaving earth in the past 50 years or so. Logistics aren't a problem when you have a "fire and forget for 10,000 years" planet destroying relativistic missile that has no hope of being stopped. All it needs to be is a fast chunk of metal moving at incredibly high speeds. A species with a few extraplanetary bases within their system could do that. Not to mention with potential technologies like the Dyson swarm there may not be much of a need to leave your solar system. When everyone in the galaxy is equipped with railguns your best chance of survival is shooting anybody you come across first.
